Our story begins in 1970 when Ioannis Kalavrytinos decided to start his own path in the food industry with the valuable help of his wife Maria. With the contribution of his brother George, he opened the doors of the first shop under his house.
In addition to food, the neighborhood grocery store also sold animal feed and several times distributed its products to homes with its tricycle.

At that time, the city's animal market took place on Othonos Amalias Street. At noon and especially on "Saturdays" there was a parade in the yard of the grocer for a glass of wine or beer. The acceptance of the grocery store in the neighborhood did not take long to be seen, since together with the grocery store, the house of Barba-Yiannis and Mrs. Maria was open even when the shops were closed, willing to serve their fellow human beings. So slowly their clientele began to grow.

Taking over, his two children, Konstantinos and Anastasia, continued his work by taking over the business in 1985 and transforming the once small grocery store into a modern Super Market of that time.

In 1997, a noticeable intervention was carried out on the external facade of the store and at the same time another expansion of the interior space, with the aim of increasing the variety of products provided and the more orderly operation and service of the consumer public.

In the year 2000, another upgrade was made where a computerization system was installed in the store and some more square meters of exhibition space were added, making the store one of the largest for the time.

In 2010 the store absorbed the neighborhood grocery store and focused on specialized categories such as e.g. organic, gluten-free, special diet, with the result that it now has over 13,000 active product codes.

In 2020, completing 50 years of operation, the store attracts a particularly large part of the local community, due to the excellent service and the wide variety of products it has and is constantly enriching.
